About
Sunergy helps solar panel owners make the most of their energy in a market full of uncertainty about net metering and rising costs. Many homeowners and installers struggle with unclear policies and a lack of guidance. As a knowledge hub, Sunergy provides insights into sustainability, home batteries, and smart energy solutions.
Assignment
Develop a clear, well-designed, and easily adaptable whitepaper that explains current energy challenges, showcases the benefits of dynamic energy management, and strengthens Sunergy’s position as a leading knowledge platform for installers and solar professionals.

Strong, human visuals with minimal budget
This was one of the key challenges in the project. I supported the client with clear guidelines and art direction to ensure consistent and relevant visual choices. The imagery had to feel human and align with the whitepaper’s content. Where original photography wasn’t possible, we used AI-generated visuals — developed with the same creative direction — to maintain coherence and visual quality throughout the document.

How do you create a detailed, content-heavy document that still remains flexible and easy to update? InDesign, often the go-to for this type of publication, wasn’t an option. The entire project had to be designed and managed within Figma to allow for collaboration, quick edits, and future-proofing.

By setting up a scalable workflow with a design system, reusable templates, and clear coordination with the printer, the document became easy to maintain. This setup allowed the client to make internal updates without compromising design quality, while still delivering a whitepaper that feels polished, structured, and print-ready.

For consistency and easy management, a modular set of chart styles was created within the design system. This allowed for quick, flexible updates and made it possible to scale visualisations without redesigning each one from scratch.
